We’re back out detecting on a brand new permission and, despite plenty of scrap, the land quickly starts to show its age.
Highlights from the day include a medieval silver hammered coin, a thimble, and other finds a lead palm guard, that hint at earlier activity on this field not to mention the lead steel weight. Brilliant day!
With this being our first visit, we’re only just scratching the surface — and this permission already feels like one to watch.
