President Murmu Opens Brahma Kumaris Event, Attends Scouts Meet

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Brahma Kumaris’ annual event for 2025–26, themed ‘Meditation for World Unity and Trust’, in Lucknow on Friday. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the programme as chief guests. The dignitaries also planted a Parijat sapling on the premises of the centre.

Later in the day, President Murmu will participate in the valedictory session of the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and address its 19th National Jamboree. The closing ceremony is being held in Lucknow after more than six decades.

Around 33,000 Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers from across India, along with over 1,500 youth delegates from the Asia-Pacific region—including the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia—are taking part in the event.
