The driveshaft is complete and 6 pounds lighter! Started as a $40 Explorer driveshaft from the junkyard, then I had it shortened, balanced and new u-joints installed for $149. So that’s done and it’s ready to roll!
28 spline yoke Ford Performance M-4841-B
This driveshaft is a larger diameter than stock and even a little bigger than the Ford Performance model, so you may need to make adjustments to your exhaust for clearance.
Driveshaft diameter:
Stock: 3 inches
The Explorer one in this video: 3.5 inches
Crown Vic police: 3.58 inches
