Gambat is centrally located between the upper and lower extremities of the province. The national highway while passing through Gambat carries the highest traffic load and many road traffic accidents happens daily in and around Gambat. Three other major roads from various areas of district are intersecting the national highway at Gambat. Besides national highway and major roads, the dual carriage national railway track also passes along the town and at many occasions the injured of railway accidents in a diameter of 70 kms are usually referred to this hospital. The injured of industrial accidents from three big industries and many other medium and small industries also refer this hospital because of its advanced services. The minor trauma cases (constituting around 80% of total trauma cases) of surrounding vicinity having more than one million population also refer this hospital. The PAQSJIMS has been rendering quality emergency services to Trauma victims and its staff is well acquaint with the procedure. The PAQSJIMS has been rendering quality Medical services to the patients and its staff is well acquaint with the procedure. The modern medical sciences has described the patients management as separate entity instead of integrated management by various departments like surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, radiology, radio imaging, sonography, laboratory and many other sub specialties. The newer concept of patients management introduces all life saving, reconstructive and rehabilitative arrangements for a trauma victim under one roof through, according to need and status of service delivery PAQSJIMS would be an introduction of modern techniques of life saving and physical rehabilitation for the highly vulnerable victims of trauma and other patients. Moreover being the medical education institution, the teaching and training configuration of the PAQSJIMS would carry the training and capacity building of its own staff as key component. It will also provide teaching and training facility of various medical disciplines mostly to the local inhabitants who will prefer to work at PAQSJIMS rather than any other institution. Both these factors would help to cover any future shortage out of future demand, staff leaving due to various reasons, or due to retirement of working staff.
