Pop culture icon Richard Grieco -- best known for portraying 'Detective Dennis Booker' in the popular Fox series "21 Jump Street" (1988–89) and its spin-off "Booker" (1989–90) -- discusses his career, shares behind-the-scenes stories and answers fan questions at his 2019 Hamilton Comic Con Q&A panel.

Richard John Grieco Jr. (born March 23rd, 1965) is an American actor, musician, artist, producer, director, writer and former fashion model also known for starring in various movies like “Teen Agent,” "If Looks Could Kill" and "Mobsters" (all in 1991). He has had recurring roles in the television series "Gargoyles" (1994-1996), "Marker" (1995) and "Veronica Mars" (2006-2007). Since the height of his fame, Grieco has voiced characters in several video games and appeared as either himself or his "21 Jump Street" character in several films -- including a notable appearance in the 1998 comedy "A Night at the Roxbury" -- and television shows. He released a music CD in Germany in 1995 titled 'Waiting for the Sky to Fall.' Grieco began painting in 1991 and only became known as a painter in 2009 after encouragement from fellow actor Dennis Hopper, working in a style he calls "abstract emotionalism."

"21 Jump Street" is an American police procedural television series that aired on the Fox network and in first run syndication from April 12th, 1987 to April 27th, 1991, with a total of 103 episodes. The series focuses on a squad of youthful-looking undercover police officers investigating crimes in high schools, colleges and other teenage venues. It was originally going to be titled "Jump Street Chapel" after the deconsecrated church building in which the unit has its headquarters, but was changed at Fox's request so as not to mislead viewers into thinking it was a religious program. The spin-off series "Booker" was produced for the character of 'Dennis Booker' (Richard Grieco); it ran for one season from September 1989 to June 1990. A film adaptation was released on March 16th, 2012. The film is set in the same continuity as the series, with Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson and Peter DeLuise reprising their characters in cameo appearances. Richard Grieco and Dustin Nguyen also have cameos in the 2014 film sequel "22 Jump Street."
