Jason Robards (1922-2000) worked with Sam Peckinpah on Noon Wine (TV, 1966), The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970) and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973). None of this interview footage appeared in the Man of Iron documentary, where Robards becomes Peckinpah's mouthpiece and reads from his letters instead. He is introduced by Sam's assistant Katy Haber.
