ReX(M2U) - Heart of Witch[Piano Arrangement]

Was this song inspired by Chopin?
Today's arrangement is 'Heart of Witch' by ReX, which is one of the soundtracks from the rhythm game DJMAX. When this song was released, people said that the style was very similar to M2U's works, which was bound to be true since it turned out that ReX and M2U were the same person!

The song is quite intense due to the fast tempo and complicated melodies played by the piano. Since the piano part was already present during the whole song, it would have been easy to just hear out every single note and copy it to the arrangement. But instead, I took some inspiration from Chopin!

Going back to the question at the beginning, I thought this song was somewhat inspired by one of Chopin's work: Etude Op.10 No.4 "Torrent".

For example, the feeling of melody from 0:25 to 0:36 is similar to the flow of Chopin (consisting of 16th notes, with gradually increasing range), so I placed short chords played by the left hand, instead of extending notes like in the original song.
Another similarity is the ending starting from 1:14, the chromatically descending melody of the right hand. This is also similar to the ending of the etude, so I borrowed the pattern for the left hand from the etude for this arrangement.

This arrangement was a bit hard to maintain the difficulty to make it playable, but I think it should be okay considering that people can play Chopin's etudes XD (I can't btw)
