11th Dec 1926 - a girl was born and as usual everyone in her family was happy. For the first 3 years she was unable to talk but slowly she got her voice at the age of 4. Soon she started talking about something unusual..She started saying that the place she is staying now is not her real homeHer real home is 160 kms away from Delhi -- the name of the place is Mathura ..As she started growing she said something more which shocked her parents. -she said in her past life she had a husband and a son and she remembers their name..SHe claims that her husband lives in Mathura and runs a tailoring shop - she also revealed that she had a child but the child died within 10 days of his birth..

she also described her past life husband's features - he ised to wear glasses - he used to put tilak
But one night while having dinner she said something which forced her parents to take this case seriously - near Dwarkadesh mandir her husband runs a tailor shop

They collected all the information from Shanti Devi and went to Mathura -- they met the same person named as kadhernath chobay -- when they met shanti devi at once recognised him and his son navnit lal -- she disclosd all the information of her past like -- she underwent 3 surgeries that also she remembered --everyone was shocked how can a small girl recall all the surgeries of her past life and hence kadhernath choubey wanted to talk to her alone
Then kedhar nath said to shantodevi that she had arthritis and she had problem in sitting and standing as she suffered from joint pain.. then how she got pragnent - she explained everything in details - then shatidevi said why kedharnath remarried whereas they decided that they wont get married for the second time... after hearing this kadhernath was she that shatidevi was his late wife

MK gandhi formed a committee to study more about this case.. these 15 member committee took Shanti Devi to mathura when they got down from the train -- shanti devi met a person - she said to this person is her past life husbands big brotherthen they sat in a cart and shanti devi took all of them to her house
teaching home she touched the feet of an old person - her father in lawshe also said the place where she used to take bath - she also said in the first floor there are some money whcih she kept - everyone went and saw but no- she cant believe.. then kadhernath said after her death he took all the money from there
the committee published their report stating that she was the reincarnation
