Today we’re out in absolute SPEARFISHING PARADISE chasing a feed in crystal clear tropical water — and it turns into an insane GIANT octopus catch & cook mission.
We’re spending the day diving the reef bommies, exploring the island and hunting up fresh seafood, loading the boat up with quality fish for a proper feed. The spearfishing is unreal and we manage to nail some absolute crackers, including a Red Emperor and some solid Golden Snapper, before the day takes a crazy turn…
Deep in the rocks we find a monster octopus wedged in tight, and it turns into a full-on wrestle to get it out. Ink everywhere, reef chaos, and one of the best catches we’ve had in a long time.
After a full day in the water, we head back and cook the octopus up properly — slow boiled and finished off on the heat with garlic butter, laid out with some bread, island-style. Nothing beats fresh seafood after a big day on the reef.
