But using live footage, police caught and arrested him in a neighbour's garden
Stones, of Derbyshire, was jailed for over two years after arrest last December
Accomplice Ricky Dunne was sentenced to three years for possession of drugs

Derbyshire Police caught the dealers during the raid in the Peak District town in December last year.

Officers had been tipped off by local residents about anti-social behaviour and drug dealing from the house.

When police gathered at the front the pair tried to escape out the back, but were snared by the drone.

Derbyshire Police have now posted the video, showing how the high-tech piece of kit busted the criminals.

Nine people were arrested at the time of the warrant, and three were convicted of drug offences as well as Dunne and Stone.

Joseph Heappey, 18, of Wirksworth, Derbyshire, and Tracey Marriott, 47, of Matlock, were also sentenced at Derby Crown Court on July 28.

Heappey was handed a community order of 18 months and ordered to complete 180 hours unpaid work for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

Marriott was sentenced to a 12-month community order for permitting the supply of controlled drugs.

Ashley Dunne, 23, also of Matlock, admitted possession with intent to supply diamorphine but will not be sentenced until later this month.

Inspector John Troup, head of policing in the Derbyshire Dales, said: 'We are committed to targeting the supply and misuse of drugs within our communities.

'These sentences reflect the hard work and thorough investigation carried out by our officers who have worked in partnership with the local community and our partners to achieve this outcome.

'Drug dealing is a serious offence which blights communities and we rely on the help and support of the public to provide us with information so that we can bring offenders to justice and keep our neighbourhoods safe.'
