My Eachine 400mm Spitfire V2 arrived today. It has a clear canopy so straight away the flat 2D pilot was removed and a 3D print added. This adds less than a gram to the weight and does not effect performance. I also print out a real picture of a cockpit in several sizes and cut out the one to match. I glue this in with Pritt stick and UHU may seep through the paper and discolour it.

Be careful with knives and power tools such as a Dremel used here. Use protective face masks and eyewear where necessary and ventilated rooms.
I did fly my Mustang (1) today in 44mph winds and it could hardly make any headway except when the wind dropped but flying with the wind I reckon it did around 60mph. Hard to control and I brought it down just outside of my immediate field but got it home ok. It did crash into the ground but was repaired ok. Filmed it but so far away it was not really worth uploading. Lower wind speeds are more fun to film.
