Purchased a catamaran from 1770,
motor sailed her 18 hrs north to Rosslyn Bay to put her up on the hard for upgrades and heaps of maintenance due to lack of care from the previous owners, sat on mooring for two years. This is the second go at it due to two snapped mid stays which I later found out are twenty years old not a couple of years old.. lol
Mid mounted outboards on catamarans are hard to turn if wind and tide are against you, its like trying to steer a brick as I quickly found out.
I had some really nice friends on shore waving good bye and offering "heaps" of support and ideas on how to steer a brick.
At this stage I was glad it was a solo trip!
