We spent 3 nights at Ndumo Game Reserve in September 2023. We went on 2 guided bird walks with Ranger Joseph - the Sand Forest walk for Broadbill and the Nyamithi Pan for waterbirds. Birding in the camp is excellent and there are various self drive options which produced good birds.
We were there before the rains had started and I'm certain that after rains, birding would get even better as they start breeding.
The camp-site has had a complete revamp and is in great condition.
This is a must visit birding site and Joseph is an excellent guide. Bongani, another Ranger was on leave whilst we were there but I remember him from a previous visit as he has a knack of talking to and attracting the birds
