Reliving the 1992 Europeans Gymnastics Balance Beam Final

The 1992 Europeans took place on May 16th and 17th in Nantes, France. They were the last major international competition before the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, which commenced in late July.

This meet was significant in being the first major competition where the former Soviet gymnasts competed for their new independent republics and showed their gymnastics training and gymnastics routines. Tatiana Gutsu, Tatiana Lysenko, Svetlana Boginskaya, and Elena Grudneva from the Unified Team all took part and created many magical moments. They showed the world how to do gymnastics.

Today I’m re-visiting the enjoyable balance beam final, which showed a high-level of quality old-school gymnastics. I hope you enjoy it!

I must issue a correction. On my fifth filming of this and pontificating about Boginskaya's difficulty (or lack there-of), I completely forgot that Kristina Molnar did do a punch front mount as well. My apologies!
