I thought I would make a short video explaining how to set your timing right the first time before you start and run your engine using a test light.
Your initial timing at idle should be specified in the shop manual for your specific engine.
If your initial timing is off the engine will be hard to start or can overheat and it is a simple procedure to set it correctly with a test light.
If you set your timing correctly before you start the engine, the rest of the tune should be the carb, IACV or whatever controls the fuel/idle on your engine.
