The first night of a brand new tour is always something special, all the more so with this show being Alan's first Brand New Tour gig in 4 years. Not that it was planned that way, but there you go. And now here Alan goes, his new "Welcome Home" album just released and starting out on a massive tour with his always-awesome Beautiful Beautiful Band ,and also featuring Nova Scotia's Songwriting Son Adam Baldwin as his opener. These selections and snippets are the first to two nights at the Kelowna Community Theatre, kicking off the Welcome Home Tour, and what a night it was! Alan and his band performed 5 of the songs from the new album - several of these songs being the first time he and the band had done them live together - and combined all that shiny newness with the classic brilliance of his earlier solo songs and a solid assortment of GBS tunes.
