LIFE of a student in HAWAI'I for 5 months - a non-touristic view

Hello partypeople!
This year I studied and lived in Honolulu, Hawai’i for 5 months! Wow, how fast time passed! It was an amazing experience and would recommend it everyone!

If you wonder what life as a student in Hawai’i could REALLY look like … Here you go! I travelled 5 islands, so now I have a comprehensive picture of what it looks like.I always had those images of Hawai’i in my head like long white empty beaches with crystal clear water and palm trees. And don´t get me wrong: you definitely have those beaches but still: it is quite different! Hawai’i is sooo divers! I think I spent more days hiking than real chilled beach days (I preferred surfing there). You have so many different landscapes and climate zones and vegetation. You have busy cities, small cute towns and just pure nature! Exploring Hawai’i was so fun!

Actually I wanted to study abroad in New Zealand and Vietnam but both got cancelled due to Covid. I was super frustrated but I really wanted to go, so I said: Hmm … Hawai’i looks good. So I applied at Hawai’i Pacific University with help of the German organization GOstralia! GOmerica! , found out that Hawai’i is super expensive, googled “How to get rich fast”, said goodbye and then my journey began.

And yes … If you wanna do the same, you have to now that Hawai’I is soo expensive. I didn´t know that before (I just did it without knowing a lot about it) and now I have to work a lot :D I´m gonna produce a video with many information about planning a study abroad semester and how much money I spent in those 5 months soon.
