A bitterly cold day out to watch lucky Driver Experience / Footplate Taster people at Sheffield Park on the Bluebell Railway. Standard Class 4MT
2-6-4 Tank Locomotive was rostered eventually (after a few issues), to be the locomotive. Initially a rake of 4 carriages had to be moved by BR Class 73 (JB) Electro-Diesel E6040 ‘The Bluebell Railway’, to enable a clear permanent way. Platform 2 was the available platform as the Steam Lights rake of coaches was occupying Platform 1.
In the background behind the loco shed, Camelot (and possibly Fenchurch) are ticking over or receiving maintenance.
