Took the campervan back to Nottinghamshire for a bit of peace and quiet… or so I thought. First night, just me, a campfire, and the sound of me snoring in my sleep. Classic. Cooked up some food and enjoyed having the whole place to myself – not a soul in sight.
Next day, Diane and Alfie joined me (rescue mission?) and we set off on a long walk along the River Trent in search of that sacred British landmark – a good pub. Did we find one? Did Alfie behave? Did I get blisters in inappropriate places? Watch and find out.
We ended up with the entire campsite to ourselves, which made it feel like some kind of low-budget horror movie… but with better beer.
