Mark Abma is a legend of the free-skiing world: but how does he continue to stay inspired and push himself in the off season?

In this Guides episode, the crew are invited by Mark for a tour of his off-grid ranch on an island near Vancouver, BC, and find out how he lives during the summer.

Joined by Mark’s friends - including pro mountain biker and two-times King of Crankworx Bas van Steenbergen - we were treated to an epic day out. Starting the day on a floating Sauna in a jaw-dropping fjord, we ripped over to the Sunshine coast with the bikes stacked up on the boat to hit the trails, and watch Bas do his thing.

After a quick pit stop at a local seafood market, we headed back to the ranch to watch the sun go down over the Howe Sound, and enjoy a well-earned feast.

It was a real privilege to get a peek into the mind of one of BC’s most respected skiers, and learn how his experiences have shaped his philosophy on life, work and design.
