Meera Bai ji, the 16th-century saint poet of Rajasthan, was a fearless devotee of Shri Krishna. Born into royalty, she rejected social conventions, courtly expectations, and rigid norms to walk the path of bhakti. For Meera, Krishna was not an idol, but a living presence — her Nath, her Girdhari, her eternal companion. Her poetry continues to inspire generations with its message of devotion beyond caste, gender, and status.
