Michael Delano plays four songs at the Niawanda Park Bandshell Pavilion in Tonawanda, New York, alongside the mighty Niagara River.
Winner of the 2019 Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Yellen Foundation Songwriting Scholarship Competition. 17 might seem a little young to be considered a soulful, passionate singer songwriter, but Michael DeLano's natural enthusiasm on stage and his prowess on the guitar leaves audiences feeling like age truly is just a number. A true natural in front of a crowd, Michael's sets are fun, engaging mixes of originals and popular covers.
Whether it's his lifelong fascination with 90's grunge influences like Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains, a love of classic blues players like Stevie Ray Vaughan, or an affinity to the folksy jamming of Dave Matthews Band, Michael is an old soul who plays with a rugged and compelling sound well beyond his years.
Originally from Las Vegas, NV, Michael moved to Grand Island, NY in 2016. Finding a thriving music scene in Buffalo and entering a recording arts program at Harkness have propelled Michael to fine-tune his music and grow as an artist taking him all the way to winning the 2019 Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Yellen Foundation Songwriting Scholarship Competition.
From local festivals to WNY open mics, Michael continues to practice and refine his sound, as a growing voice in the local music community.
