Wot Gorilla - Unquiet Slumber For The Sleepers - In That Quiet Earth - Afterglow

I bet some of you are saying "Whaaaat?!" right now.

I made this for my custom Genesis playlist, and you may want to visit my channel to enjoy it from the beginning as intended.



For Genesis I have 3 in total - one covering the Peter Gabriel years, one for the early Phil Collins years (that this is a part of), and the last covering the 80's Phil Collins years.



In an effort to have all three playlists run around the same length (about 2 hours) I needed to stretch out the early Phil era playlist a little and that either meant adding songs that I am not all that enamoured with or doing something creative. I went with the latter option.

Wot Gorilla isn't bad bit of music, it's whimsical and jazzy, but on the album (Wind & Wuthering) it's kind of just there by itself and it doesn't do much for me. But then I noticed it ends with what sounds like a wind chime noise effect (which seems appropriate for an album called Wind & Wuthering). Then I listened to Unquiet Slumber For The Sleepers - In That Quiet Earth and noticed a similar noise effect in those songs so I decided to try using Wot Gorilla as an intro for the big Unquiet Slumber For The Sleepers/In That Quiet Earth/Afterglow suite of music.

So I put them together and you know what? I think it works very well! The image you see here was created by Ediskrad Studios and I found it in Yahoo Images.
