Today, while strolling along Passeig de Gràcia 104 in Barcelona, my gaze was drawn to the interior of a shop where two vintage suitcases stood out on a shelf. At first glance, they instantly reminded me of Marcel Duchamp’s Boîte-en-valise, that ingenious masterpiece encapsulating his artistic universe in a portable museum. Inspired by this connection, I stepped into the shop to take a closer look.

The store, The Golden Goose, is a boutique specializing in sneakers, with an impeccably designed interior. Once inside, my fascination with the suitcases deepened, as they evoked a clear parallel with the Boîte-en-valise—literally translating to “box in a suitcase.” This groundbreaking concept by Duchamp allowed the artist to carry a collection of his works in an accessible, portable format, dissolving the boundaries between art and everyday life.

After a delightful conversation with the friendly team at the store, they graciously allowed me to record a reel and share this captivating intersection of art and contemporary design. Art truly is everywhere, if we know where to look! 🎥🎨
