Greetings Everyone!
Greetings Everyone!
Welcome to our channel. For many years we have been traveling the world and building our collections of Postcards both old and modern.
World War II: The Tower Remembers (2025)
• What it is: A new display of nearly 30,000 ceramic poppies from the original 2014 installation, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII.
• What it represents: It is a tribute to the sacrifices of the war generation and a reminder of the enduring impact of conflict.
• Artist: Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper, who created the new design.
• Design: The poppies are arranged to form a "wound" at the heart of the Tower, which was bombed during the Blitz.
• When: The installation was open from May 6 to November 11, 2025.

It is approaching Remembrance Day and we as a family, like so many others have those that we remember at this time of year.
The Tower of London's poppy installation is a recurring commemorative display, notably Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red from 2014 for World War I, and The Tower Remembers in 2025 for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Both installations feature thousands of ceramic poppies made by artist Paul Cummins, with designer Tom Piper creating the new design for the 2025 display. The 2014 display had 888,246 poppies in the moat, each representing a military life lost, while the 2025 display uses nearly 30,000 poppies from the original installation to create a "wound" at the heart of the Tower, reflecting its own wartime history.
Please stay tuned until the end....and Like, Comment and Subscribe. We are a new channel and we need your help to grow!
