Wheel Arch Flaring Tool Assembly Instructions
After the repairs from the crash at Snetterton in 2022 I had found that the right hand rear wheel was rubbing on the inside of the inner wheel arch in the faster corners. I bought an inexpensive arch reforming tool from eBay in order to open the arch out a little more.
The tool did not come with much in the way of instructions so the first part of the video covers putting the tool together.
Unfortunately during the rolling process the tool slipped slightly and I ended up damaging the wheel arch. I was able to make a basic repair but unfortunately the damage is rather visible. I'd have to say it's not my finest work, I think the relatively low height in the arch made the tool hard to use, I would have preferred to get a bit more of an angle onto the tool.
The tool could also be used for flaring arches to add wider tyres, or for accident repairs.
