First Time Using Rubio Monocoat | Oak Desk Build

I was commissioned to build a custom oak desk top and my client wanted it stained black — something I hadn’t done before but was excited to take on.

The Oak came from PB Hardwoods (Merseyside), and I joined the boards using the Festool Domino before sanding, chamfering, and finishing. For the first time, I used Rubio Monocoat products:

Precolour Intense Black
Oil Plus 2C
Sheen Plus
