Early ice walleye fishing on Lake Sakakawea, North Dakota and it didn’t disappoint 🎣❄️
This trip was shot during early December 2025 with just 6 inches of ice, and the bite was 🔥.
We managed to catch a full limit of 10 walleye, plus an unforgettable 24-inch walleye that was safely caught and released. Early ice is some of the best (and most intense) fishing of the year, and Sakakawea showed why it’s one of the best walleye fisheries in the country.
