The Light Seller: 9x9 Shadowbox Jack-o’-lantern

More of the same, but different. That's what we're going with this time. It's another Jack O'Lantern, but larger. In order to light this one I had to add more LEDs, and since they're rated at 2.7 volts or so, and the battery packs supply 6 volts you'd think that you could power at least 3 LEDs with no problems, but you'd be wrong.

If you go with more than 2 LEDs the whole thing gets really dim, which does make since I guess, it would be a total of 8.1 volts. I guess it is I who made such a basic blunder!

This is unimportant prattling.

In order to power the 4 LEDs I decided on I ran 2 in serial, and then jumped 1 each in parallel. This fixed the problem.

Some of the other ones I'm working on will require even more lighting, so I may have to switch power sources and possibly even light styles. Maybe those LED strips and a USB power supply.

We will see.

Next time we are back to lighting up some more jars.
