This is Episode 1 in a series of videos about the Wisconsin Local Food Purchase Assistance (WI LFPA) Program.
By building a network of over 350 farms, food access sites, local distributors and community organizations the WI LFPA Program coordinated supply chain partners to work together towards a more resilient food system.
Established in 2022 by a cooperative agreement between the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service, the Wisconsin LFPA Program is strengthening food and agricultural supply chain resiliency, supporting Wisconsin farmers, and distributing fresh nutritious foods to underserved communities. This project was a collaborative effort between DATCP, Marbleseed, The Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, and Wisconsin Farmers Union.
