In this lecture, we'll go over the traditional form of Hilbert's Nullstellensatz. We'll give some preliminaries on algebraic varieties, including examples. Then, we'll show how the version of the Nullstellensatz we proved using valuation rings implies the weak Nullstellensatz. We'll then use the Rabinowitsch trick to step up to the strong (or classic) Nullstellensatz.
Then we'll go through the proof of the weak Nullstellensatz using Noether normalization.
