What Test-Optional Colleges Aren't Telling You

Once test-optional colleges were a social experiment practiced by a few, select schools. Today, more than two-thirds of US colleges don’t require standardized test scores.

That’s more than 1600 four-year universities. Additionally, all eight Ivy League colleges are test-optional colleges.

With that many schools claiming they no longer require standardized test scores, do students still need to study for the ACT or SAT? Or, has test-optional admissions made testing obsolete? It’s an honest question.
