Italian Yoginis Recite Ramayan, Shiv Tandav Stotram

On 19 January 2025, a delegation from Italy, led by Mahi Guruji, founder and trainer of the Meditation and Yoga Center in Italy, met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.

The group, which had recently participated in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, included several Italian women who showcased their deep appreciation for Indian culture by reciting chaupais from the Ramayana, the Shiva Tandava Stotram, and various bhajans in front of the Chief Minister.

The Italian visitors shared their profound spiritual experiences from the Mahakumbh, expressing admiration for India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. They highlighted their participation in rituals with Naga sadhus, bhajan-kirtans, and other religious practices, noting the significant impact these had on their understanding of Indian traditions.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the delegation warmly, expressing gratitude for their visit and praising their enthusiasm in embracing India's spiritual and cultural practices. He encouraged further cultural exchanges to strengthen ties between India and Italy.

The Prayagraj Mahakumbh has attracted millions of devotees, including a significant number of international participants. As of January 18, over 77.2 million pilgrims had taken a dip at the Sangam Triveni, with numbers expected to rise in the coming days.
