East Lancs Railway Summer Diesel Gala 2025

The East Lancs. Railways Summer Gala lived up to it's name on Thursday, the first day of the event, with lovely sunshine all day. The day started with a surprise for me with a newly painted locomotive came into Bury gently rocking as it ticked over. I waited for the next passenger train because I wanted to see the goods train leaving so missed out on class 24 haulage, but was able ride behind all the other types of locomotives running that day, and re live the days of seeing my favourite class of locomotive on both freight and passenger trains.
