G'day everyone,
I wanted to show you my experience with using cast iron weights as a source for machining cast iron. Like a lot of you, getting cast iron in large sizes can be difficult. However cast iron weights are cheap and plentiful. However I would net recommend them to be used in most applications, due to their unknown composition, poor casting quality and porous nature.
I will in this video show you what happens when you try and machine a bad piece of cast iron. Cheers
