Sprinter Towing WITHOUT a Truck or Trailer! Cost MUCH Less than Flat Towing!

You've probably wondered, can I tow a sprinter van? Yes you can. Should you flat tow a sprinter van? You can but I have another method for sprinter towing. Using this method to tow a sprinter has saved me lots of time, and surprisingly effort when trying to move a sprinter van. I would say this method to towing a sprinter is better than flat towing a sprinter van. It also reduces sprinter towing costs in the long run. You may wonder how much it costs to tow a sprinter. With my sprinter towing method you'll have to buy a tow bar and brackets, BUT the cost is much less when you consider how many times you might tow your sprinter van.

Do you remember the "How to Tow Any Car / Truck With a Tow Bar" video we made! Well BAM! Now we've got you a "How to Tow Any Sprinter Van With a Tow Bar!" Note that IT DOES NOT MATTER what kind of sprinter you've got: Mercedes 3.0 CRD Diesel sprinter, Dodge Freightliner sprinters, etc.. It doesn't matter, you can tow it with a tow bar. After a few simple modifications.

Then you're gonna want to figure out where you're placing your brackets for your sprinter van. In the video I show you exactly how to do this, and how to make it easier as you're doing the bracket installation. If you want to make your brackets strong you could also add a gusset using 10 gauge or 12 gauge scrap steel you've got laying around.
IF YOU'RE TOWING ANY LONG DISTANCES. You'll want to be sure to remove the rear portion of the driveshaft. I only had to go about 100 feet so removing the driveshaft wasn't completely necessary for me. Better safe than sorry though. When you go to anchor your driveshaft to tow this. You'll want to be careful where you're bracing the driveshaft to. When hanging up your driveshaft I'd suggest using bungie cords or rachet straps of some sort. If you tie down with zip ties make sure to use a good amount of heavy duty zip ties. Your driveshaft will be bouncing as you hit bumps and holes.
