BIR Ateneo De Manila Data Analytics Rund After Ghost Receipts How to Avoid the BIR audit and LoA

💚 The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Ateneo de Manila University have teamed up to fight against fake receipts, called "ghost receipts." These fake receipts are used to avoid paying taxes, costing the government billions of pesos.

BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. announced that they have created a new computer program that can easily spot these ghost receipts. The program uses math and data analysis to find patterns in the receipts, making it easier to catch tax cheats.

The Commissioner emphasized that this is a big step in the fight against tax fraud. He also said that the new program will help the BIR be more aggressive in finding and catching those who use ghost receipts.

The BIR's Run After Fake Transactions program has already taken legal action against many who use and sell ghost receipts.
