C/U sign for Lobb shoemakers. C/U of Mr Eric Lobb inside looking at some old handmade shoes and slippers. M/S of a book containing footprints of famous clients. The book is taken over to the last-maker who prepares a wooden model of the clients' feet. The camera pans across models of the feet of Laurence Olivier, King Farouk, and Marconi who are all clients. A 'clicker' cuts out the leather patterns. M/S of Mr Saunders, a closer, who fixes the uppers together, Mr Hanson sews on the soles. The camera pans across the finished shoes. M/S's as they are wrapped up ready for delivery.
