If you speak to groups for work, you have probably felt it: a tired, scratchy voice at the end of the day and the temptation to shout just to be heard.
This short, practical session shows you how to project your voice without shouting. It is designed for teachers, workshop leaders, trainers, facilitators and performers who need a clear, confident voice in real rooms, not just on a stage.
Projection is not about pushing from the throat. It comes from alignment, breath support and resonance, plus the way you aim your sound into the space. In this follow-along video you can stand up and try everything with me as you watch.
In this voice projection session you will:
Set up a balanced stance that lets your breath and sound move freely
Use low, supported breathing rather than shoulder-lifting gasps
Find chest and facial resonance so the voice carries without strain
Practise “aiming” your voice to the back of an imaginary classroom
Combine projection with clear articulation so you are heard and understood
Learn simple lines you can adapt for your own lessons, workshops and performances
This video sits alongside the five minute voice warm-up. Use the warm-up to prepare your voice, then use this session to practise how you send that voice into the room without hurting it.
Ideal before teaching, running Social Theatre work, giving presentations, leading training sessions or performing.
