Create This Genius Hammer Handle From Scratch (No Lathe Needed)

Making hammer and tool handles, for anyone without a lathe, usually default to a square, sometimes sculptured square handle, or a dowel, but I wanted to see what the table saw could do for me so I created this 8 sided, octagon shaped handle, retaining that shape on the grip, then rounding the upper part on my oscillating belt sander, along the way I also used my bandsaw for trimming excess wood to make my sanding time shorter, and of course other woodworking tools can be used like a sliding mitre saw, drill press, wood planer and jointer, I love how the size and diameter can easily be custom adjusted depending on what the handle is to be used for, another enjoyable woodworking project with a useful and very nice gipping wooden handle.
