Paint the Grand Canyon’s Sunset with Me | A Watercolor Journey of Resilience & Gratitude

Join me in this deeply personal watercolor tutorial where we capture the breathtaking sunset of the Grand Canyon National Park. In this video, I’ll guide you through intuitive watercolor painting, techniques like wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry blending, using unconventional brushes (yes, even ones meant for oil painting!) to create vibrant, emotional landscapes. Alongside the art, I share my story of navigating health challenges, the power of creativity during difficult times, and the awe-inspiring beauty that reminded me to cherish life’s fleeting moments.

Supplies Used:

White Nights paint set with the following colors: Yellow Ochre, Madder Lake Red Light, Ultramarine Blue, Manganese Blue Hue, Green, Sepia, Golden, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Violet and Red Ocher.

Brushes: Synthetic round (size 12), mop (size 3), size SW3 All purpose calligraphy brush, and play with brushes intended for oil painting (filbert and small round) brushes for dynamic strokes.

Paper: Cold pressed 140 lbs, Natural white 300gsm watercolor paper.
23x37 cm.

Extras: 3B Pencil, Spray bottle, a wooden prom, water jars, paper towels, and granulation medium for texture, a feather for scratching.
