VW Tiguan R-Line 2021 review: do you even need the R version?

Volkswagen has given its BMW X1-rivalling Tiguan a thorough makeover for 2021, including a new front end and a loads of interior tech. Naturally, there are a whole load of models to choose from in VW's range, but we've been behind the wheel of the current range-topper, the R-Line, to see just how good the new Tiguan is.

However, soon there'll be a new model at the top of the Range, the Tiguan R. The model will boast north of 300bhp and feature all the best bits from the VW parts bin. But given that the R-Line looks almost identical to the R, do you even need the performance version?
