I have recently been under a deep mental, physical and emotional strain which had the unexpected benefit one night of deeply reflecting on the character of Zadok Allen. He is (likely) the last real human of Innsmouth. Why did he never just flee Innsmouth, that rotting and boarded up hellhole? Let's find out!

In this video I also look beyond that to the "shadow" that overtook Innsmouth and I make my case that we too have a shadow overtaking us in the West.
