The Wensleydale Railway is a heritage railway in Wensleydale and Lower Swaledale in North Yorkshire, England. The line runs 22 miles (35 km) between Northallerton West station, about a fifteen-minute walk from Northallerton station on the East Coast Main Line, and Redmire.
Regular passenger services operate between Leeming Bar and Redmire, while occasional freight services and excursions travel the full length of the line. Wikipedia

Although work is ongoing to restore services to Redmire, and until a solution is found to issues affecting a return to Northallerton West the the Wensleydale Railway is operating trains between Leeming Bar and Leyburn with a shuttle service to Scruton. The work to restore trains to Redmire is continuing but it is labour intensive and new volunteers are always welcome to join in the push to Redmire.
