In this video, I review the DoCrafts Artiste Watercolor Dual-Tip Pens. (This is the set of 12 pens). The review will cover the pens usability, color, packaging and versatility with other watercolor and drawing mediums.
These watercolor pens are high quality, water based, acid free and non-toxic. They are dual-tip, which means that they have a brush tip for painting fluid lines and blending. They also have a marker tip which comes in handy when coloring a larger surface of paper.
The best way to use these pens would be on watercolor paper (I used hot pressed paper). Draw on the paper when it's dry and apply water with a brush afterwards to blend the pen's ink.
Are they worth it?
Yes, if you want to have a pen to outline some watercolor work or play around with lettering. No, if you are planning on drawing and painting a larger surface as the ink flow is inconsistent and the pen does not perform well on wet surfaces.
