A fight erupt between former President Yaya Jammeh's ranchers and motorist Lang Ceesay in 2012. The cattle ranchers want Ceesay to pull over the side of the road and allow all the cattle to cross before he could proceed. However, Mr Ceesay had an emergency and could not afford to stop and wait for the cattle to use the road first. The matter quickly got out of hand and Ceesay ended up spending several nights at the NIA and later into exile. Lang Ceesay was speaking before the Gambia Truth Commission TRRC on February 2nd, 2021.
