A group of American tourists signs up for a bargain outback adventure, expecting dusty roads, campfire stories, and a tongue-in-cheek warning about Australia’s legendary “dropbears.” When their guides stage a fake attack to scare them for fun, the prank spirals out of control, sending the group fleeing deep into the wilderness. Cut off from help, they soon realize the joke has pushed them somewhere far more dangerous than planned.
Hidden in the heart of the bush is a nightmarish truth: the dropbear myth has a real origin. The tourists stumble into the territory of a monstrous koala king—an ancient, hyper-aggressive creature that rules the forest with brutal intelligence. Under his command is a rabid army of feral koalas, transforming the once-cute symbols of Australia into relentless predators.
As panic sets in, the group must overcome mistrust, fear, and their own underestimation of the land they’re trapped in. Survival depends on learning the rules of this hostile environment and confronting the horrifying mistake that brought them there. Dropbear blends dark humor with survival horror, turning a cultural joke into a terrifying fight against nature’s most unexpected nightmare.
