Simulation Series - Yuchen Liu

This series marks the beginning of my Simulation project, a visual exploration of an imagined "New World." In this fictional realm, cephalopods like octopuses have evolved superior intelligence and now govern the world's order. Through their tentacles, they subtly influence human thought patterns.

The works are rendered in fluid, metallic shades of blue and violet, creating a dreamlike atmosphere where human figures dissolve into abstract fields of color. The fragmented color blocks disrupt the natural tones of the human face, symbolizing the emotional suppression experienced by people in this alternate reality.
