5th project on the lathe, I turned a handle for a BEDAN, which is a tenon making tool. The handle was made from Red Oak that happens to be my first hard wood material turning. The tools worked fine, and the project turned great.
At this point I found and joined a local wood turners club. I learned a lot and although I my spindle gouge is a bit open, I used it like a bowl gouge. I realized after watching the video I still have a bunch to learn.
Reminder: I am new to wood turning, so please DO NOT do as I do. This is NOT a teaching video. Maybe you can pick up a thing or two NOT to do. Working with tools of any kind is dangerous and must be handled at your own risk. Please provide any feedback and advice in the comments below.
I am documenting my journey into wood turning and the wood working field. It has always been a passion of mine to work with video. Wood turning is a new hobby, which I find enjoyable and rewarding. It is my intentions to produce a weekly video, which I hope is entertaining.
