History
The engine was despatched from the factory around 12 to 18 11.1943 unfortunately few details shown but it comes in a batch sent to W.E Thomas & Co Oswestry, Salop. All engines in this batch were shown as fitted with std pulley and heavy flywheel normally for driving milking machine exhausters to create the vacuum. The rest of the batch went to Alfa -Laval a major supplier of milking machines. The grey would be std war time finish so restoration to this colour would be correct other colours were Khaki (Army) Battleship Grey ( Navy ) and RAF blue. After the war these engines were redistributed to mfgs such as Cooks for elevators. Due to war time requirements for increased food production only farmers could get new engines courtesy of the Ministry of Supply.
